Sabado Demo: Where to Play It and What the Full Game Brings
Where to get the official Sabado demo (Sabado: Day One), what it covers, its patches, and what is confirmed about the full game's Steam release.
The Sabado demo is out now as a Windows download called Sabado: Day One, on developer Kiwi Dreams’ itch.io page. The Steam page for Sabado is for the full game, which you can wishlist but not play yet. The newest developer post says the full game comes out on November 2, 2026.
Sabado has been climbing Steam’s upcoming-games charts this week, so a lot of people are looking for a demo button on Steam and not finding one. Below is where the demo actually is, what’s in it, and what is and isn’t confirmed about the full game, as of October 2026.
What Sabado is
Sabado is a Filipino psychological horror game in a 3D anime style. It is made by Kiwi Dreams and published by Neuroticfly Games, an indie label that describes its work as weird, immersive horror inspired by the SCP Foundation, Creepypasta, the Backrooms and other internet horror.
You go back to your old high school and relive memories you had forgotten. The demo takes place at Kiwi High School, where you meet up again with a friend named Chesa. The Steam page describes exits that disappear, hallways that warp, and a silent observer that follows your every step. The itch.io page tags the game as 3D, Anime, Creepy and Psychological Horror.
Steam lists Filipino with full audio and subtitles. The early patch notes also mention English subtitles, covered below.
Where to get the Sabado demo
The only official source we found is the developer’s own itch.io page. Kiwi Dreams announced the demo in a devlog on July 24, 2026. That post sends players to itch.io for the download and to Steam for the wishlist.
To download and play it:
- Go to the Sabado: Day One page on itch.io.
- Scroll to the download section. The demo is a Windows build.
- Download it and extract the archive if it comes zipped.
- Run the game’s executable. If Windows SmartScreen shows a warning, which often happens with small indie builds, check that the file came from the official itch.io page before you continue.
- To get every patch automatically, you can install it through the official itch.io desktop app instead of downloading it by hand.
Several “play online” or “play in browser” sites list Sabado: Day One, but they aren’t run by the developer, and the official release is a download, not a browser game. Stick to the itch.io page so you get the current build and the developers get credit for the download.
Wishlisting the full game on Steam
If you’re here because of the Steam charts, wishlisting is the useful thing to do on Steam right now:
- Open the Sabado Steam page (developer Kiwi Dreams, publisher Neuroticfly Games).
- Click Add to your wishlist.
- Steam will notify you when the game launches or goes on discount.
What’s in the demo
According to the itch.io page, the demo lasts about 15 to 30 minutes. It covers your return to Kiwi High School and your time with Chesa, and the setting turns stranger the longer you explore. The patch notes mention a gym, a ball-scoring task, a sequence where you watch television, and a dream section. That’s a decent hint at how varied the demo is without spoiling anything.
Patch history
Kiwi Dreams patched the demo several times in its first week. Here’s what the official devlogs list:
| Version | Date | Main changes |
|---|---|---|
| 1.1.0 | July 25, 2026 | Filipino voice-over for Jacob added; TV-watching timer cut from 60 to 30 seconds; missing Chesa voice line at the start of the dream restored |
| 1.1.1 | July 27, 2026 | “Push forward to open doors” tutorial added; “Turn on the tv” objective text fixed; ball score requirement lowered from 15 to 10; some Jacob English-sub voice lines removed for rework; flashlight lighting on gym objects fixed |
| 1.1.3 | July 31, 2026 | Speaker box collider removed; Chesa’s follow radius changed from 0.5 to 0.7; final glitch effect in the TV scene adjusted |
We couldn’t find separate official notes for a version 1.1.2. In the 1.1.3 devlog, the developer said it’s probably the last patch for the demo unless something game-breaking turns up. If you downloaded the demo in its first few days, grab it again so you have these fixes, especially the door tutorial and the easier ball challenge.
Some third-party sites list other changes, such as a “Beed” to “Beads” rename. Those don’t appear in the official devlogs we checked, so treat them as unconfirmed.
Full game release date: what’s confirmed
This is where the sources disagree:
- Developer devlog: The release date announcement says a new Filipino horror game, SABADO, is coming on November 2, 2026.
- Steam page: When we checked, the release date was still listed as October 2026, and the page said the game isn’t available on Steam yet.
The devlog is the newer and more specific of the two, so November 2 is the date to expect. The Steam listing may just not have been updated yet. Small indie dates do move, though, so check the Steam page as the date gets close.
Sabado: Day One is the demo, and the full game is a separate release called Sabado. The developer has posted a “Full Game Sneak Peak” devlog and marks the full project as still in development. The developers have mentioned one small extra, a headpat interaction, coming in the full game. We haven’t found any confirmed price, system requirements or details about other platforms for the full release, so we won’t guess.
Don’t mix it up with Saturday Sábado
Search for “sabado” on Steam and you’ll also find Saturday Sábado (app 4444430) from Brabeirasoft, which came out in April 2026. It’s a different game. If you want the Filipino school horror game, look for the store page titled just Sabado with Kiwi Dreams as developer and Neuroticfly Games as publisher.
Is it worth playing?
If you like short, story-heavy indie horror in the vein of Japanese or Filipino school ghost stories, the demo costs you about half an hour. It’s also the best way to judge the full game before November 2. The developer patched it quickly after launch, which is a good sign. Keep in mind it’s a small indie project: the patch notes show early rough edges like missing voice lines and unclear objectives, and some of those were fixed within days.
Our advice: play the itch.io demo now, wishlist Sabado on Steam if you like it, and check the developer’s devlog for any change to the November 2 date.

The itch.io page puts it at about 15 to 30 minutes. How long it takes you depends on how much of the school you explore.
