Roblox Quack-o'-Lantern: How to Get the Hat in The Hollow Event
What the Roblox Quack-o'-Lantern hat is, why it is tied to Roblox Plus in The Hollow, what it reportedly costs, and how to check the event shop before it rotates.
The Quack-o’-Lantern is a duck-themed jack-o’-lantern hat tied to The Hollow, Roblox’s 2026 Halloween event, and as of October 23, 2026 most guides list it as a Roblox Plus reward that appeared on Night 1. One guide prices it at 20 Tickets, the event currency you earn by completing quests in partner games, so you need both an active Plus subscription and enough unspent Tickets.
That is the short answer. The details are still messy, because Roblox has not published an item-by-item breakdown that we could find, and the community guides disagree on a few points. Below is what is consistent, what is not, and how to check for yourself in a couple of minutes.
What the Quack-o’-Lantern is
The Rolimons item page lists the Quack-o’-Lantern as a Roblox-created hat, first discovered on October 22, 2026, the same day The Hollow opened. Rolimons currently shows it as off sale in the regular Marketplace, which fits the reports that it is only obtainable through the event rather than bought with Robux.
One tracker, robloxthehollow.com, notes that the Plus status is “reported by Rolimons, not confirmed by Roblox” and lists its claim steps as TBA. Keep that caveat in mind for everything below.
How The Hollow works (quick background)
The Hollow is a nine-night Halloween event. According to Pro Game Guides and other coverage, it runs October 22 to November 2, 2026, with nine monsters from nine horror experiences arriving in a shared event hub one night at a time. Games named in coverage include DOORS, Piggy, 99 Nights in the Forest, Dandy’s World, Scary Shawarma Kiosk, Animal Hospital, Demonology, The Mimic and WARDEN. A live finale is reported for October 31.
The core loop:
- You complete an objective in a participating game and earn a badge there.
- Back in The Hollow hub, you redeem that badge for Tickets. Most objectives are reported to pay 20 Tickets each, though All Things How notes at least one game (Tower Defense Simulator) paid 40.
- You spend Tickets in the event shop on tools and avatar items.
Where the Quack-o’-Lantern fits
Guides describe a separate Roblox Plus reward board in the concessions area of the hub’s cinema. The items reported on it so far are:
| Night | Reported Plus reward | Notes |
|---|---|---|
| All nights | Item launcher | Lets Plus members launch items to other players |
| Night 1 | Quack-o’-Lantern (hat) | One guide lists 20 Tickets |
| Night 3 | Trick-or-Treat Tentacles | Not yet verified |
| Night 6 | Spectral Skull of Nevermore | Not yet verified |
This schedule comes from community guides, including The Hollow rewards checklist and All Things How. Treat the later nights as unconfirmed until they actually go live.
For comparison, the regular (non-Plus) shop is reported to sell tools such as a Flashlight (20 Tickets), Night Vision Goggles (40), Radar Detector (80) and Invisibility Cloak (120), plus the avatar item Gourdlord: The Entangled at 100 Tickets. Those prices may change during the event.
How to check for and claim the Quack-o’-Lantern
If you have Roblox Plus, these are the steps the guides describe. Menu names may differ slightly in the live game.
- Open The Hollow event hub from Roblox’s event page or the experience itself.
- Make sure you have Tickets. If not, complete a quest in a participating game, return to the hub, and open the Redeem Badges panel. Press Confirm to add the Tickets to the counter in the bottom-left corner.
- Walk into the cinema and go to the concession counter on the right-hand side to open the shop.
- Look under Avatar Items for the Roblox Plus row.
- If the Quack-o’-Lantern is listed and you have at least the listed number of Tickets (reported as 20), select it and confirm.
- Check your avatar inventory afterward to make sure it arrived before spending more Tickets elsewhere.
If you do not see a Plus row at all, the most likely reasons are that your account does not have an active Plus subscription or that the board has already moved on to the next night’s item.
Is it free? Where sources disagree
This is where the search results get confusing, so here is the honest picture:
- Plus-only (most common report): Rolimons and several guides tie the hat to Roblox Plus. One guide is explicit that it is not a free reward for every account.
- “Free UGC” claims: At least one YouTube video title calls it free UGC. That likely means “costs no Robux,” since Tickets are earned through play, but it does not change the reported Plus requirement.
- Night 1 only vs. still available: Some guides say the Plus board rotates nightly, so missing Night 1 means waiting to see whether it returns. Others simply list it as a Plus shop item without a time limit. We could not confirm either from Roblox directly.
- Core rewards are not gated: Separately, at least one guide stresses that the standard quests, badges, UGC items and Tickets are claimable by everyone regardless of membership. Plus appears to add a bonus board, not lock the main event.
Bottom line: if you have Plus, open the hub and check the board now rather than relying on any guide’s timing. If you do not, the main event rewards are still open to you.
Don’t confuse it with the Duck-O-Lantern
Searches for “quack o lantern” also turn up the Duck-O-Lantern, which is a different item. According to games.gg, it is a free Halloween hat from the Duck Duck and Family Zone experiences. You earn it by finding 25 ducks in Family Zone and playing Duck Duck for 30 minutes while finishing 10 rounds, then claiming it near the Duck Duck portal. That guide lists it as claimable until November 8, 2026.
| Quack-o’-Lantern | Duck-O-Lantern | |
|---|---|---|
| Where | The Hollow event hub | Family Zone / Duck Duck |
| Requirement | Roblox Plus (reported) + Tickets | Find 25 ducks, play Duck Duck |
| Cost | Reported 20 Tickets | 0 Robux |
| Reported deadline | Night-based rotation; event ends Nov 2 | November 8, 2026 |
There is also an older, unrelated hat called “ROBLOX O’Lantern” on Rolimons, which is off sale and not part of either event.
Staying safe while hunting event items
Event hats like this attract scam videos and sites promising the item, Robux or Plus for free. The only legitimate route is through the official event hub and your own Roblox account. Nobody needs your password or a login code to give you an item, and third-party “claim” pages are not part of how The Hollow works.
What may change
Everything here reflects reports as of October 23, 2026, one day into a nine-night event. Prices, the Plus board schedule and whether the Quack-o’-Lantern returns after Night 1 could all change, and Roblox has not confirmed the item list in a source we could find. The in-game reward board is the final word.

Frequently asked questions
Is the Quack-o'-Lantern free on Roblox? +
Not for everyone. Most event guides list it as a Roblox Plus item in The Hollow, and one guide prices it at 20 event Tickets. Tickets are earned by playing, but you also need an active Plus subscription according to those reports.
Can I still get the Quack-o'-Lantern after Night 1? +
It is unclear. Several guides say the Plus reward board changes each night and the hat was the Night 1 item, so it may no longer be offered. Rolimons already lists it as off sale, so check the board in the event hub yourself before assuming it is gone or available.
Is the Quack-o'-Lantern the same as the Duck-O-Lantern? +
No. The Duck-O-Lantern is a separate free hat from the Duck Duck and Family Zone experiences, earned by finding 25 ducks and playing Duck Duck. It is not part of The Hollow event.
When does The Hollow event end? +
Coverage dates The Hollow from October 22 to November 2, 2026, with a live finale reported for October 31. One guide says rewards close at noon PST on November 2, so plan to spend Tickets before then.
